Error: Cannot find root config element ("config version" must be present) when loading config into XVM Editor.
This error is caused due to the fact you try to open xvm.xc in the online editor. To edit you need to select all the *.xc files:
Open the XVM Editor (http://www.modxvm.com/en/xvm-xvm-xvmconf-configuration-editor/)
Click on 'open' and select all the *.xc files
The files are located at World_of_Tanks \ res_mods \ xvm \ configs \ J1mB091\........
If you use a different XVM version of this modpack the last part (J1mB091) might be different.
In that folder, there are about 30 .xc files. Select them all and click 'open'
You can now edit whatever you want to be edited.
After you are done, save the file as xvm.xc in the folder World_of_Tanks \ res_mods \ xvm\configs
To be on the safe side: make a backup of your xvm folder before you start; if anything goes wrong you can easily go back to your starting point with the backup.

How to change the rows of the Tank Carousel
Use the mod tab located in-game settings.
Info panel doesn't work
The info panel only shows if you point your barrel at a tank
How to change zoom multipliers
Open the file zoomX.json with Notepad++. The file is located in
\World_of_Tanks\res_mods\0.9.1\scripts\client\mods\PMOD\
Look for the line:
"zoomXSteps" : [2, 4, 8, 12, 16, 18, 22, 24, 28, 32]
As you can see zoom-in goes (except for the 1st) in steps of +4. If you prefer, you can add 'in between' steps (e.g.: 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 etc)
Bare in mind 32 is the maximum. Larger values don't work.
Note: in the zoomX.json file it says the max value is 60. But currently, it’s 32.(it’s bug).
Change colors for colorblind:
Option 1
Use the ColorBlind Preset for Solo’s XVM Config
Option 2
Open all your .xc files with the XVM Editor
The files are located in
\World_of_Tanks\res_mods\xvm\configs\J1mB091 (last part might be different for you; depends on the xvm version you are using from the modpack). There are about 30 *.xc files in that folder.
Click on the tab 'Colors 1'. Now you can change the colors for friendlies and enemies (and also for platoon members and teamkillers).
If needed click on Colors 2 tab and change colors here too (In Colors 2 you can change the colors used by xvm (either color of the text or color of the dots) to show winrate, WN8 etc.)
Save the .xc files as xvm.xc in \World_of_Tanks\res_mods\xvm\configs\
When the battle loads i'm zoomed in on the gun barrel and need to zoom out to see the tank, any way to change this?
Open the file "onStartDeadDistance.json" with Notepad++.
The file is located in \World_of_Tanks\res_mods\0.9.1\scripts\client\mods\PMOD\
Look for the line "startDistance"
Change the value behind that line to 10
Save the file and restart your client. If you want to zoom out a bit more, change the value to (e.g.) 12.
The lower the value: the more zoomed in, the higher the value, the more zoomed out.
Internal error: ExtractTemporaryFile: The file "idp.dll" was not found
idp.dll is a file inside the installer. The file is needed to download the mod pack files (DLCs). Most likely cause for this error is the firewall or virus scanner blocking it when the installer started to try to download the mod pack files.
Enable win chance prediction when loading, in battle and in the after battle report:

Click on 'open' and select all the .xc files in the folder J1mB091
The files are located at World_of_Tanks\res_mods\xvm\configs\J1mB091\........
The last part (J1mB091) might be different; depending on the XVM version form this modpack you are using
In that folder, there are about 30 .xc files. Select them all and click open.
Click on the Loading tab and check 'show chance to win'
When your battle is loading you will now see the win prediction.
Click on Tab and check 'Show chance to win' and 'Show chance to win only for live tanks'
In battle when you hit the Tab key, you will see the win prediction.
Click on Battle results and check the box 'Show chance to win' if you want to see the win prediction in the after battle report.
After you are done, save the file as xvm.xc in the folder World_of_Tanks \ res_mods \ xvm\configs
Restore to the default hangar

Open the file paths.xml with Notepa++
Delete the lines:
./res/packages/hangar_premium_1may.pkg
./res/packages/hangar_premium_26apr.pkg
./res/packages/hangar_premium_9may.pkg
./res/packages/hangar_premium_4july.pkg
Note: not all the above-mentioned files might be in this file.
Do NOT delete the lines:

Save the file and restart your client. You will now have your standard garage back
Error: Game won't start
Add the line -integrity to your launcher and start the game. (World_of_Tanks\WOTLauncher.exe -integrity),
Now the game will check for missing or corrupted files and redownload and add them. This might take up some time (depending how many files are missing or corrupted). After that, the problem should be solved.
If the game still won't start (some) mods might be causing it. Rename your res_mods folder to res_mods.bck and create a new, empty, res_mods folder.
If the game still won't start the only solution might be a completely clean install of the full client.
Error: I Don't see my stats after the battle. Getting the message Bad Token
